Mencia and Godello are two wonderful grapes grown primarily in Northwest Spain that are under-appreciated in this part of the world. Godello is a beautiful white with sandy minerality and lots of fruit notes. Mencia is often compared to certain international varietals, but has a wonderful character on it’s own and when grown correctly produces balanced, complex, and elegant wines. Salud!
